We went to Chad Franklin to trade our car in for another more practical car. We were told we could lease our current car and then the company would pay half the payments. We were given a check for the difference of our payments, and told to come back the first of Sept to get another check for the difference, or refinance the car, or even get a different car.

We got the car, had trouble with sensors going off and after nagging for a month got those fixed. Eddie told us we were good and to make sure to come back the end of August or 1st of Sept for another check or refinace our car. Well, now the company is gone and we were given a bogus PO Box address and that came back. We have high payments and cannot afford to pay, so what do we do now. Who can help us? Do we have any options?

Is this fair? False promises, told it was lease and the paperwork was done so well, it shows nothing of the sort.

Help!!!!

I am sorry to hear about what has happened to you.

Unfortunately, there is not a lot that you can do about it. You signed the papers without reading everything. I know they put a lot of pressure on you but you have to be a smart consumer and DO NOT EVER sign anything that is legally binding without first reading everything in the document, especially the fine print.

I would check with the Attorney General's office for the state. You can file a complaint with them on this and hopefully that might get you somewhere. I know that same company is being sued in the state of Kansas because of the same reason. Telling people they were doing one thing and then it ended up being something completely different.

He and his brother Jeremy Franklin have a father by the name of Pete Franklin who is the biggest crook ever in car sales. They were taught well. They ran Pete out of the state of Kansas a long time ago and now his sons are doing the same things that he was before.

It shouldn't be too long before they both get run off fromt he car business entirely in the metro area. People around the area need to take a stand and DO NOT buy from Jeremy either as he is helping to support the scams. These guys are the lowest of the low. They prey on the people who need the help the most. I understand, I am a single mom and my car is my livelihood and it is the most important thing to me for getting to work, grocery store, etc..

Hang in there and I hope everything works out for you.

Also, have you tried going online to some other financers like capital one and lending tree. It is possible that you could get a loan from another source and use that to pay of the loan from the scheisters !!
