Like most, I have credit problems. I Called Legend Auto and Eddie Green said he could help me get a car, and he did. On the test drive I mentioned the brakes and the vibration that the 2001(which by the way Eddie told me it was a 2002)Ford Focus had.

One the test drive was over Eddie had the car taken to the garage to be looked at. The mechanic said that it was fine, that the car was just old. I bought the car in March 18, took it back to Legend March 24 again complaining about the breaks and vibration in the car.

Again, nothing was found. April 3 I went back and this time they said that a pin in the back breaks had boken and that they would fix it.....nothing about the vibration. I also told them that I was having trouble starting the car at times. They looked at it, found a "ground wire" was loose and tightened it.

It is now June. My limited warrenty is over, but SAME problems persist with the car. I have put 3 batteries in the car, fixed the thermostat, replaced cooling hoses. I finally took the car to a Ford dealership to look at it.

Here is what the dealership found: the vibration is from a broken motor mount that you can planly see had been tampered with. Once they opened the battery compartment, they found a 2600 series battery, not the 4200 series that the car needs. Inside the compartment they also found where a 40amp fuse had been rigged to keep the radiator fan constantly running, hence why I had to get 3 batteries for the car.

The thermostat you could also see had a small weld to keep it closed enough for the car not to run hot.....until the car became hot enough for the weld to melt. Had to replace the thermostat.

All told I have spent $842.47 to fix what Legend Auto SHOULD have fixed or not had in the car in the first place. And it all came to a head AFTER my limited warrenty was over.

I went to Legend and told them all that was found and the explinaton was that they don't have certified ford machanic's on thier staff and I should know the touble used cars can give me.

I know that I have bad credit, but to be taken advantage of in this way is unfair. I, we work hard and to have a dealership exploit anyone this way meeans that they are ONLY in it for the dollar.
