This is a horrible moving company, the Operations Manager Walter Alvarez promises you many things but falls incredibly short! He gave me a price of $1,200 for my very small move from Chicago to Miami. That price quickly turned into $1,517.52 at time of pick up for NO REASON! I had chosen another moving company prior to choosing Legion Express Inc but cancelled them because Walter Alvarez seduced me with false promises. He told me the company goes down to the Miami area weekly and my move would be the fastest that any other company could offer! He bragged they had an A+ rating on the BBB (that rating is not to be trusted) and I was their "bread & butter" move! He said I could get a Piggyback (I later realized that they are the PIGS and they will scam money off your back any way they can!) discount since they had a truck going down there around the time I needed! All of that excited me after reading horror stories from other moving companies. Legion Express didn't have any reviews and that was a little concerning at first but I figured no reviews is better than bad reviews...boy was I was wrong!

The two movers came to my house on a Sunday to pick up my shipment. The two movers consisted of a chubby lazy guy who tried to refuse to blanket my fragile furniture and  a nice smaller guy with an accent who was helpful and did most of the moving while the cubby guy was outside chatting on his phone! The movers ended up saying by "looking" at the few things I had packed and ready to be loaded on the truck (queen size bed, 3 large 4.5 cubic feet boxes, 4 large storage bins, 1 suitcase, and 2 small storage bins) that I needed 49 extra cubic feet! I was beyond confused and questioned the movers about it! They said the "computer calculation" was wrong with the 251 cubic feet that was on my original Binding Estimate! I thought it was odd considering I went over all items to be picked up from the original inventory list with Walter many times to avoid something like that from happening. I did not add 49 cubic feet of items at the time of pick up! There was actually one less large 4.5 cubic feet box that was on my original inventory list that I didn't need so I told them to take a small narrow curtain rod box and a small 34 quart storage bin with no lid that was empty but that was after they had said I needed the extra space. That extra 49 cubic feet totaled an additional $300 on my bill! I figured I would discuss it with Walter on Monday to get the issue of being overcharged corrected.

I was wrong again! Walter ignored my phone calls, emails, and danced around discussing the outrageousness of me being overcharged during my pick up! When he did contact me days later by email, he told me Alison would look into the issue and she never did! I knew the movers were trying to take advantage of me, because as soon as they saw how small my move was when they came into my house, they started discussing upping the prince right in front of me while I was still packing! There was only the one room to be moved and they seemed surprise as to how small the move really was! The 251 cubic feet that was on my Binding Estimate soon turned into 300 cubic feet with one "look" from the movers! That turned into them making $300 more, they knew what they were doing! The other moving company I hired previously came out and gave me a free moving estimate, which is how I know my stuff wasn't 300 cubic feet! Walter also promised my stuff would be delivered in 4-7 days after being picked up. Well, he lied... what a surprise!

I'm still waiting and it's been nearly 2 weeks (14 days) and I haven't heard from them with any updates! No one has tried to contact me about being overcharged despite the same items on my original inventory list are the same items that were picked up! I was NOT given an explanation and they continue to ignore my calls and emails! Legion Express Inc is a company that overcharges you at time of pickup, ignores your calls and emails! BEWARE of Legion Express Inc... DO NOT CHOOSE THEM FOR YOUR MOVE! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! I just hope when my stuff is finally delivered, it is not broken, damaged, or missing... this company is definitely NOT to be trusted!
