Leisure Fitness Horrendous Post-Sale Support - Treats Precor Customers Like Garbage Newark, Delaware

Precor USA engages in unfair and deceptive trade practices by falsely claiming to support its products after sale.

We have a Precor Elliptical EFX 5.21si. In early-December 2006, we noticed a clicking noise. We called Precor's authorized dealer, Leisure Fitness in New Jersey, to come fix it. After diagnosing the problem and supposedly ordering parts, Leisure Fitness came back a month later without parts and still tried to fix the machine. Instead, they made the machine completely inoperable. They subsequently blamed Precor for not having parts available. We have since called Precor various times and they have both been unaware of which parts had been ordered, when, etc and COMPLETELY not helpful. In addition, Leisure Fitness has been back to our apartment 4 separate times and have ordered various parts from Precor, many of which have been on backorder.

It has now been 2.5 months since our first customer service visit and 1.5 months since our machine has not worked due to Precor's authorized dealer's (Leisure Fitness) incompetence. This is infuriating and completely unacceptable to treat a customer this way.

It is not surprising that both Precor and Leisure Fitness are considered "unsatisfactory" in the records of the Better Business Bureau.
