Lenovo Lenovo sold me a non -working computer and they refuse to replace it. Whitsett North Carolina
Long story short... Purchased a Lenovo computer that had a major factory defective. The operating system (Windows 10) did not work properly. The computer is useless and Lenovo has given me the run around for 7 months and has refused to replace or refund my purchase.
Purchased a Lenovo 81A70005US laptop Model 81A70005US Serial: YD06L9ZB computer at the End of August 2019. Had an issue immediately. The keyboard just turns itself off. I immediately called Lenovo and they had me update the keyboard. It worked at the moment but then the next day when I turned it on it happened again.
This time Lenovo remotely accessed my computer and said it was fixed. At the moment it did work. I assumed the issue was solved and set the computer aside. I purchased the computer to replace my old one of 20 years. Finally in November the old computer died. Turned on the Lenovo and it turned off the keyboard again.
Called Lenovo right away and explained the situation. The asked that I send the computer to them. I had to wait till they sent me a box and shipping label. I finally received the box and I did as they asked. Received it back a few weeks latter. It worked for about 5 minutes and then while typing it did the same thing, the keyboard quit. By then it was January 2020. I again called Lenovo immediately. They said they would send me another shipping label and an email with instructions and to return it again.
A week later I still had not received the label or the email. I called and was told that I refused to have it repaired. What? I never did no such thing! Another week goes by. I email and call, I get nothing but empty promises. Finally they told me to take it to Geek Squad at Best Buy. I did and it was in less than 5 minutes they diagnosed a major problem.
The computer was sold without Windows 10 being properly installed. The keyboard would stop functioning without warning and would not work unless the unit was rebooted. Two technicians looked at it and both agreed that it was obviously sold to me this way and the Lenovo technician that remotely accessed it should have noticed this immediately back i September. Obviously the technician at the Lenovo repair lab were I sent the computer should have found this right off as well.
Now the kicker here is... The guys at Best Buy told me that Lenovo would not pay to fix this problem. In addition the Lenovo case worker Lisa told me the same thing! Lenovo sold me a defective computer in which the Windows operating system doesn't work and you tell me you won't fix it? Finally after months of complaining Lisa the case worker tells me they will send me another computer but they need my credit card or bank info. I don't think So!
They already have $300.00 of my hard earned dollars. I also returned the broken computer to them. It is now February and I'm out $300.00 and the computer. Lenovo no longer returns my calls or answers my email. Please help. The Lenovo case worker is Lisa. Her email is casemanager@lenovo
