Complaint Review: Lenox Capital

My daughter was called with the offer of a credit card. Against all our previous advice she gave out her bank information and accepted a credit card that asked for a fee. When we found out that she had done this, we told her to cancel the card. At this point the fee of $221 had not been debited, but Lenox said they could not stop the debit, and it went ahead.

It has been several weeks and we have not seen the refund that was promised. On telephoning them today I found out that the refund was not requested, and the memeber of staff my daughter spoke to, to cancel, had left. (what a surprise!). I have been told that they will send me a refund request to fill in, which I am to send back, and then my refund will be sent.

Now I have seen this company on the web as a rip off company I do not expect to see either refund request slip, or the money.

My daughter has learnt a hard lesson. This company is preying on young teenagers who don't know any better and who don't have a lot of money. They will still answer the phone if you are willing to stay on hold for eternity, but they are rude and uncooperative. What else can I do?
