I recieved a call from the Lenox Credit group offering what was termed a "Fresh Start" Master Card with a $2500.00 Credit line on 11/02. The interest rate on this card was supposed to be a 0% interest rate for the life of the card. The one time fee for setting up this card in lieu of annual fees was $221.95 to be deducted from my checking account.

There were also to be included in this fee, legal services, home loans, auto loans, and tickets for a free vacation. And that processing time would take 10-12 business days. At the time I told the person Calling that this was not possible for me to do, although the 0% interest was very tempting to transfer higher rate cards to. He told me that if I would authorize a post dated transaction to take place on 12/02, they could still offer me the deal. I agreed and then was recorded with his supervisor, agreeing to a mastercard with 2500 credit line.

The $221.95 was deducted from my account on 12/02. After receiving nothing fromthe company I called to cancel a least four times and was on hold for over 30 mins. on each occation. While speaking with the representative it came to my attention that this company was not on the up and up, so I request a refund and they informed mew that there was a form that I had to fill out which they would send to me so that i could request my refund, this letter would be the only this that I received from this company. The letter explain that I was request a refund and agree to a 20 or $25 dollar fee for the processing. I sign and agreed to that and then call them again, they inform me that I they send out refund check tri annually and my refund check would be sent out on the 4th of April,2003. I have not received anything and I am unable to reach anyone. Today, I started looking for them as a company on the web, as I felt that 4 months was sufficient time for them to send me something via mail and found this site. I will be contacting my state attorney generals office on today. And yes I am interested in participating in a class action suit against them.
