We made the mistake of not researching Brian Lenz before hiring him for a stamped, colored patio. He did a terrible job! A circle surrounding the tree in our patio was distorted and not circular at all. Control crack joints were placed farther apart than industry standard. A conduit installed for a natural gas line was too small to use.  There were multiple double stamps and the stamp depth was inconsistent resulting from poor technique.

We found out later that his license is on probation for structural problems in the past, and that the photos on his website were not his own, but were copied from other sites.

We complained twice to Mr. Lenz about the coloring issue prior to sealant application.  He ignored us and sealed it anyway stating,"the color would soak in," then he asked for final payment before the job was finished.  Mr. Lenz wasn't knowledgeable enough about the products he used to know the color could have been easily repaired before sealing.

We had to take him to small claims court for reimbursement after spending multiple hours and over $1300 removing sealant and sawing grout lines to fix his poor workmanship. Not surprisingly, we found that he had already been taken to court 3 times within the year preceding our case.

Save yourself the trouble and use a more knowledgeable, teachable, and experienced contractor.

Unsatisfied Customer

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Unfortunately we can not satisfy all of our customers, however we did infact go over and beyond for customers Mr. & Mrs. Doctor Joshua Durham.  Unfortunately Durhams choose a stamp that was to aggressive for their style plus choose a much darker color then they were hoping for.  Our business did understand their frustration and did indeed go back and remove most of the color and sealer but Durhams wanted a total different look and took it in their own hands and made multiple different color squares in the end. They did request a refund and our company was more then happy to have a check ready for the request they had requested but then the Durhams asked for further agreements. So this issue was resolved in legal court settling with a legal agreement and amount and satifisfied and was discharged.  The customers now fill further complaints are necessary to hurt our small business.

Our company always follows Standard & Industry Strutural Laws in all our work!  Unfortunately my husband went out his way and installed a conduit for a natural gas line but customers needs requested a bigger conduit and this is not our line of work.  As a consumer I would probably recommen a professional for gas lines for the saftley of your family.  We offered to have a professional come into help with this issue and they refused to have us on their property again, so this was a job that was not willing to be resolved or corrected in the end. Unforunately we can not make all of our customers happy!
