On Feb, 12 2012, I was in a pretty bad head-on accident that was of no fault of my own. After going to the emergency room, I made the biggest mistake I have ever made, hiring Lerner & Rowe to represent me. I first went to the intake, everything was explained to me as expected and I felt confident that I had made the right choice. Over the course of the next year, that changed quite a bit. First off, I didnt even hear from my actual lawyer for three months, had my file handled mostly by assistants, who sorry to say never had any idea what was actually going on, (was constantly given incorrect information).

After my medical treatment was finished at the end of may 2012, I was given a continued care plan, which included multiple injections in my upper, middle and lower spine. I really didnt know too much about these injections, had heard some good, also some not so good things, which caused some uncertainty in my mind. I expressed this fact to my lawyer and was given complete confidence that with a futures letter he would be able to recover the money to pay for the extremely expensive injections. So, needless to say the injections were put on hold.

Shortly after my last and final doctor appointment I received some papers in the mail from Lerner& Rowe, for me to fill out about any changes in day to day activity or basic life changes caused by injuries from the accident. I immediately filled them out and returned them to Lerner and Rowe. Over the course of the next 7 months I received no updates on my claim, would call to find out what was taking so long and get no call back for sometimes a month, but when I would call and request to speak with a manager, even requested to speak with Mr. Rowe himself on more than one occasion, but would be transferred automatically to my lawyer, instead of who I had asked to speak with.

Funny how my lawyer was too busy to return my calls but when I ask to speak with somebody in charge, all of the sudden he has time. I received multiple excuses as to why a demand letter hadn't been sent out to my insurance company. After waiting a good part of a year with no results, no updates and still no demand letter sent to the insurance company I finally received a call on December 17th 2012 from the third legal assistant to work my case, stating that they had been waiting on paperwork, (Paperwork that had already been in their possession since shortly after I was released from medical treatment) and that they would be sending the demand letter the next day.

After waiting another two weeks to hear if it was accepted or not, I called to find out that it had just barely been sent. At this time, I was past the past the point of being fed up. Asked again to speak to a manager. Got my lawyers voicemail. About a month passed and I finally get a call from my lawyer stating that the insurance company had come back with an offer. The offer was of course low. I was then told by my lawyer that since it had been such a big gap in continued care that the insurance company would not consider covering my much needed injections.

And was informed that if I decided to take my case to court the fees would go up and I more than likely wouldn't get any more money than what was offered in the settlement, but would actually receive less due to fees increasing. Basically forcing me to settle for a fraction of what was deserved. I am not a happy client and would never refer even my worst enemy to Lerner & Rowe. They really don't care about their clients, as was proven to me multiple times over the last year. The only goal for them is to make themselves money the easiest way possible, even if it means the client doesnt receive what they deserve. Lerner & Rowe, Not the way to go.
