Les Chiens Royale-Doodles Inc. Royal Doodles Inc. Was sold a puppy with Genetic Malformation causing painful dental surgery. Seller not keeping terms of hi scontract. Morin-Heights Quebec
We purchased our border doodle puppy from this breeder this year. A deposit was e-transferred and received by him on February 15, 2021. We picked up the puppy from him on May 1, 2021 and paid our remaining balance via two e-transfers. They were promptly accepted on site, and my wife left with the puppy. Fulfilling our end of the contract
Upon the puppies first vet visit on June 6, 2021, there was an immediate concern regarding issues surrounding his jaw and the placement of his K9 teeth in particular. The puppy was identified to have a genetic malformation of his jaw. Immediate concern was noted by the veterinarian upon the completion of the exam. The clinic recommended an emergency dental procedure. His lower jaw was identified to be shorter than his upper jaw (congenital malformation of the jaw) causing misalignment of his K9 teeth. Both bottom K9 teeth required emergency removal as they were piercing his upper palette, causing significant pain and trauma.
Further to the emergency surgery to relieve him of pain and healing of the palette, this congenital malformation will require the augmentation of his adult bottom K9 teeth to prevent the same painful condition as his adult teeth come in. The emergency removal of his bottom two canine teeth cost us $1,902.97. The future dental procedures again will require major surgery. The costs anticipated by the surgeon for this work are again approximately $2,000.00. Beyond the financial costs, the puppy will also be limited in the types of toys he can have, the type of treats he can consume, as well as any future damage to the anticipated work that will require dental intervention to fix over the course of hs life will be at our expense.
The dental surgeon provided us with the details of the issue, which we in turn sent to the breeder, we provided the receipt from the surgery, and we provided a letter from the surgeon on June 9, 2021, noting it was a genetic malformation.
We have proved it is a congenital malformation, we have sent the breeder the proof, we have asked for our refund, and the breeder hasnot moved on the file, at all. He is ognoring us now. The contract put forward by Les Chien Royal Doodles Inc. indemnifies the owner will refund the buyer in cash or a new puppy will be provided; ‘It will be up to the buyer” the contract states. We requested a refund, that was our decision by force of the contract.
We have requested the refund on multiple occasions from the breeder. We sent our first refund request on June 8, 2021, via text message. Our second request for refund was sent on June 17, 2021, via email. We have seen promises of a payment of $1,000.00 but nothing has materialized.
He is still selling puppies and will likely ignore you if you buy one with a congential issues as well.
