Leslie Wilson-Hipp Leslie Hipp, Leslie Wilson Scam Artist Columbia, South Carolina
This individual portrays herself as an expert in helping non-profit companies, especially substance abuse agencies, bring themselves into compliance with the latest state and federal regulations. Problem is, she does not know these regulations herself, nor does she understand alcohol and drug treatment well enough to provide the guidance needed. She dupes managers into signing contracts so that she can bill them for time she never spends helping them. She starts out looking good for the first month or so, but drops the ball after that and continues to try to bill based on the "contract" she has with the agency. Her supervisor, the director of LRADAC, is aware of her activities and actually lets her do it. I cannot prove, but strongly suspect that the Director is receiving some sort of kickback.
Avoid this woman at all costs! She will only bilk you out of the limited funding you are receiving to line her own (designer) purses. She also states she can use her connections in the community to help struggling non-profits, especially African American community oriented ones, raise money. She puts on a good show to lure you in, and then produces nothing you couldn't have done on your own. Her "connections" are largely just regular people, no real "movers and shakers" with money to donate. You'll get lots of "introductions" to shady lawyers and business people, none of whom will help you actually raise money. But, because she promises introductions, she has held up her end of the contract and you are stuck. She will use LRADAC's impressive meeting facilities after hours to impress you with a showy presentation that is really only smoke and mirrors.

I have just learned that she uses 2323 Lady St. as the address for her sham company. I also learned through a confidential source in the office of revenue that the agency for whom she serves as Deputy Director is almost $250,000 in the red. This is taxpayer money, mind you. How can someone who lets her own agency get into such financial trouble pretend to give financial guidance to others???
