LetsTalk Rebate OK, but phones were defective ripoff Internet

I searched other rip-offs by Let's Talk on this site, only to find problems with their rebates. We did not experience any problems with rebates; in fact they were all received on time. BUT..

We did have problems with the phones (2) delivered with our plans. They worked fine for a few months, but then my husband's phone started to drop calls, not show the number calling him, etc. until he could no longer answer his phone. Since he runs his own business, this started to affect our income - thanks, Let's Talk!

I tried to call the customer service department, only to be told that we had "overseas" phones - whatever THAT means, and that Motorola (the manufacturer) could only maybe, possibly, fix the phone. And this was only a few months after receiving the phone, when it should have been under warranty! When my phone started doing the same thing (i.e. dropping calls, not being able to answer, etc.) I went to the Verizon store nearest us, since we had Verizon service. Thank goodness, VERIZON honored our agreement, replaced BOTH of our phones, no questions asked. They were a GODSEND!

We could continue our business, and our contract is now with them. By the way, it looks like they offer the same deal that Let's Talk offered, but at least I can go directly to an actual person at a retail store and get the service I need if anything goes wrong. DON'T bother with a useless "service" like LetsTalk.com!
