Letstalk ripoff, non-functioning phone, poor customer service Internet
Do not use www.letstalk.com for anything!
I used LetsTalk.com to compare phones and cellular service plans. When I found what I wanted, I ordered a RAZR phone and signed up with Cingular for service. The phone I received was defective, everyone I called said they could barely hear me, and it sounded like I was very far away.
I e-mailed tech support at LetsTalk.com, and received no response. I then called customer service and after disputing that there was a problem with my phone, the rep gave me an RMA# and told me how to return the phone by a "trackable method". He told me I would have to pay the shipping. He also told me to "keep the manual", but return everything else I received with the phone, including all accessories.
I then received a second RMA# from my online inquiry. I informed them I had already spoken with customer service.
In the meantime, I spoke with Congular and they agreed to credit me for the first month of service, since I had not been able to use my phone all month. She also made a note that I had used Lets Talk and what my issues were. She said all they hear from consumers is that Lets Talk sucks!!
I received a new phone a couple of weeks later. I also received a bill for $20 for the manual I had been told to keep, and did NOT receive the leather case or the car charger I had ordered.
When I went to activate the NEW phone, I found there was no SIM card. I called LetsTalk and they told me that the SIM card was sent with the first phone. I told them I returned it, with the first phone, as requested. They said they would send another to me overnight.
A week later, I received the SIM card. I put it in the phone, and the phone doesn't recognize it.
I am done with letstalk.com. I'm going to see if Cingular can provide me with a SIM card that works. Otherwise I'll send this phone back COD and buy one direct from Cingular.
