I contacted the Levitz extended warranty department because I had a rip in my sofa and love seat. I purchased the Love seat, sofa and ottoman on 2/9/02 and it was delivered stained. After attempting several times to reach a customer service rep, I decided to clean the stain myself and it worked just fine. However, I was a little annoyed that the delivery man indicated on my invoice that a service call was needed and said that someone would contact me, they never did.

Just the other day I noticed a rip in the seam of the loveseat and decided to call for service. Before I called I decided to examine the ottoman and sofa to make sure we had no more rips, and sure enough I found a rip on the sofa.

I contacted the extended warranty department and they denied my claim because I was reporting "Multiple" service calls and they wouldn't even send a service person out to fix ONE of the rips.
and she told me to read my service contract and their was nothing she could do. This was NEVER explained to me when I bought these peices, the salesperson reassured me that I would have no problems what so ever receiving service calls for the next 7 years. I asked her what the difference whould be if I called in one claim today and the next one tomorrow, that would be ok? All she could say was that is the policy. She suggested I e-mail the senior vice president of sales and explain the situation to him.

It is ashame that a company can not give authority to their customer service reps to make decisions to help their consumers and they must inconvience the consumers. I will never buy Levitz furniture again and I will make sure no one I know will buy from them either.
