We are seeking your help and highlight of an issue we are facing against my former Landlord, Lewis Operating Corporation (LOC) of Rancho Cucamonga California. Had we been living in California we would have taken this matter to court, but we are living in New Jersey. After moving out from the LOC apartment and moving to New Jersey we made enquiries concerning our deposit and was told that we owe LOC.

Our deposit was $600, however, LOC is deducting $88.23 for Ista final bill (accepted), $75 for drywall repair (accepted),  $182.65 for prorated carpet replacement, we used bleach to their carpet; we never used bleach to clean the carpet and the carpet was cleaned two or three times by LOC subcontractors; the clear patches on the carpet are the locations of our bedroom dressers, entertainment center and writing desk. Pictures taken by LOC and in LOC possession can clearly confirm this statement. $100 for two permits however, we have returned one and we have a note from LOC that they have received one, so that deduction should be reduced to $50. $50 for carpet scan, that is unequivocally LOC responsibility and $354.49 for vinyl replacement; the light stains (LOC has the pictures) were caused by LOC leaking washer and refrigerator that they came to the apartment on several occasion to fix. LOC total deduction is $850.37, thus LOC claims that we owe them $250.37. LOC through a Collection agency, Kimball, Tirey  & St.  John LLP  negative credit score to force us to pay this disputed, unfair and unreasonable debt. We have exhausted our efforts to get this issue resolved. We cannot afford to go to California to resolve this issue in a California court and so we are depending you to help us.

Looking to hear from you.
