Lewiston, Bangor Car Care doesn't care about anything but getting your money. They prey on low income people that need a car to work, then rip them off with double talk Bangor, Because Lewiston Closed Down Maine
Lewiston Car Care is closed, I'm not surprised, because everyone who bought a car there told everyone else how shoddy the company is.
I bought a truck for work. I test drove it and didn't hear or see any issues, for about a week. Then the blinker started acting up. I called and they said they would replace it. I had to work so I dropped the truck off and got a ride to work. After work I went to pick it up and it was still not touched. My friend and I had to come back in a couple of hours and pick it up.
Not long after that (a few weeks) I started hearing a clunking noise. I called them and they looked at it. They told me I had to call Scott in Bangor to set up an appointment to get it fixed. While I was waiting to talk to them I spoke with another couple who were waiting for their car to be fixed.
They had it for less than a week and the problems were too numerous to even come close to remembering all of them. My step daughters mom bought a car there too, and it has cost her a ton of money in repairs and after less than a year is ready for the junk yard, but she still has over $1,000.00 to go before it's paid off.
The kicker for me, when you sign the paperwork they do a very good job of keeping the information on your 12 month, 12,000 mile warrenty details a secret. It is stashed within the 20 papers you have to sign in the packet and there is a little box they check but don't mention (I know, buyer beware but after 4 hours of trying to get the purchase made because the phone is ringing and the sales guy leaves you hanging with it half done and people coming over and doing the "I need you to do this, sorry he will be right back" distractions you are just ready to LEAVE) that little box is telling you that for every warrenty issue, you have to have a $100.00 deductible paid before they fix anything. I'm a mom of 2 teenage kids, I don't have a spare $20 let alone $100.00 for the part for the clunking, the oil leaking and smoking, and all the other issues that didn't show up during the test drive.
Don't bother calling Scott or anyone else at Bangor, they are rude and snotty while they snap their gum in your ear and tell you you have to take a day off of work to drive to Bangor for repairs with your money in hand. That is if the receptionist doesn't say to you "Oh, so you think this is OUR problem?"
