Complaint Review: Lexis Marketing & Research Management Inc

I received one of this company's so-called Survey Checks, as have many of your other rip-off reporters. It was for quite a bit of money, just to do a few"secret shopper" duties(jobs).

I was told to call this company before doing anything with this check. I DID call them. I told them that I had gone to the bank to cash the check so that I could proceed with the instructions, which are posted, below.

Evaluation pay and expenses---------------$400.00
Gap Purchase------------------------------$50.00
Wal-Mart----------------------------------$50.00
Money Gram transfer-----------------------$3300.00
Service Charge by Money Gram--------------$175.36
Total-------------------------------------$3975.36

When I made this call, I was asked why i tried to cash the check, before calling. I was told that I did it, because I am a BUM and cannot follow simple instructions, Real proffessional, hunh?

It seems that (for those of you that do NOT know how this works) this company wants these surveys done and funds sent BEFORE, your bank has the usual time to CLEAR this check. You, the survey person and "check-casher, would then be "STUCK" with the entire amount of the check
