Lexis Marketing & Research Management Inc Scam on Union Bank & Trust from Lexis Marketing New York New York
Hi folks, after reading all these posts, of which I got the exactly same check and letter, I had an online chat with the customer service at Union Bank & Trust whose name is on my check. I urge all of you to fax the check and letter to Union Bank-Security Department: 402-323-1790, ASAP.
Here is the dialogue, fyi:
Keli: Have you heard about the Lexis Marketing scam? They are using Union Bank & Trust, Nebraska on fake checks?
Kris: Do you have more information? Who is the remitter on the check and who is the signer on the check?
Keli: Sure, Remitter is Irvin J Discher, Signature is hard to read, "Kevin J. Shanle" or so?
Kris: Do you have the check number, date, and amount?
Keli: Yes: date isued 4/21/09, amount $3952.11
Kris: That is a fraudulent check. Would it be possible for you to fax a copy of that check to 402-323-1790?
Kris: Is the check made payable to you or to someone else?
Keli: Yes. FYI, the phone # on the letter with the check is 403-401-5463. Whom do I address the fax and letter to? Check is made payable to me.
Keli: They got my information from a job recruitment website and mailed this to me.
Kris: Please send it to the Security Department. They are compiling a file, and if you have the letter that came with it could you fax that. If you are willing, it would be helpful if you file a report with your local law enforcement, too.
Keli: Okay, I'll do that.
Kris: Thank you. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
Keli: Thanks, Kris. You might want to go to the site: ripoff.com and report this about Lexis Marketing directly (as you are the "issuing bank.").
