I bought my Lexus from this dealership and was recently told by the service department that I needed all 4 of the brake calipers replaced. The cost of which was to be $1800.00

I had new brakes installed in Auguest 2003 by Midas, San Clemente so I took the car back to Midas where they inspected it and told me one of the brake lines was clogged. That's it. The cost was $353.00 and the problem was solved.

Lexus, Mission viejo's servoce department had not even removed the rear wheels to inspect the calipers, But still I was told I needed to replace all four of them. Beware or you'll be ripped off!

Get A Third Opinion I'd find an ex-Lexus mechanic who opened up his own shop

I don't know if I'd put a whole lot of faith in the Midas people when it comes to brakes. They may do an ok job on mufflers.

If it were me, I'd find an ex-Lexus mechanic who opened up his own shop, ask around to get some referrals and have him check it out. I found the best ex-bmw guy, Burt's, who has saved me thousands of dollars over 15 years and I've sent him dozens of people, without one complaint.
