Leased a pre-owned Lexus 1996 ES300 with an extended 100000 mile warranty. Car had scratches on it, noted, the price was right as I needed another car.

Changed oil, filter, lube etc. regularly. Car started to smoke. Brought it to Lexus. Outcome, they say we neglected the car and the oil jelled. We have all receipts. Recently moved from NY to FL, misplaced a couple of receipts. Flew my daughter their to get the replacements. Lexus is the only company that has a "Neglect Department for Sludge"

Receipts are not good enough for Lexus....now they are stating that the person who changed our oil was in default. Anyone is at fault except for them. Called and wanted to pay off the remaining 13 payments of my lease at once. They stated there is a provision that states I cannot pay off the lease ahead of time.

Outcome: They want me to replace the engine...I put down $3500 for a lease, drove it 2 years, lease is up next year....pay $3000 for any engine. No way. Now they state they will clean engine without a guarantee....what I am afraid of is that if I drive this car after taking it back.....who knows what else will break and what they will get me for at the end of the lease.

Last night went out and bought another car. Refuse to drive this Lexus. ONE MORE IMPORTANT ISSUE: This was leased with 41800 miles on it. I aksed Lexus for their prior service receipts....they will not give them to me.

What do or what can I do?

Thanks

Your Lexus is not the only problem that Toyota Motor Corp has

I am sorry as to how you have been treated by your crappy car dealer and lexus.

Toyota Motor corp is the mother corp of Lexus. Lexus and Toyota both have had problems with their engines jelling up.

Go to the below link and read the story at autonews.com Toyota Has had a bunch of problems with engines burning up because of poor oil circulation.

http://www.autonews.com/article.cms?articleId=38302&a=a&bt=sludge

LOS ANGELES - In September 1999, Maggie Alemany, a 47-year-old medical transcriptionist, drove off the lot of Kendall Toyota in Miami with a new 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan equipped with a 3.0-liter V-6.

Having leased two Previas previously, Alemany says she felt comfortable with Toyota and confident of its quality. But just over a year and 29,000 miles later, she took the Sienna back to Kendall for service because the oil indicator light stayed illuminated.

That's when Alemany got yanked out of her Toyota comfort zone.

What I would do is make waves at your Lexus dealer. Print off this rip off report and make shure that you mention the name of the bad car dealer and their address and phone number in your Rip Off Report, and send a copy to Toyota Motor corp, their address

Toyota Motor Corp, 9 W. 57 street, Suite 4900, New York,NY 10019.

You might also send a copy to

Lexus Motor Corp, 19001 S, Western Ave, Torrance, CA 90509.

I would contact Ed, the editor of this web site and talk to him about how his "Picket Power" works. You might like his way of thinking. Good Luck.
