Since June 24 I have been trying to get my LG refrigerator repaired. It will not make ice and ice cream won't freeze.I bought  a 3 year warranty and was told it covered everything and if they could not repair it they would replace it. The first tecniction came out and told us it was in the Sealed System and only LG technician could work on it. They sent a technician from Best Servicers who said it was NOT the Sealed System but it needed a 'new board'. He ordered one came back, after a week or so and put in the board. We are now well into the end of July.  That didn't help the freezer.  I called again, same technician decided it need a new Sensor that would tell the fan in the freezer when to turn on and off and he would order one.  After a couple more weeks talking with LG and Warrentech they tell me LG no longer has or makes the sensor! It is NOT available anywhere!. I had talked to 23 different people by then. Cindy  at Warrentech told me since they could not fix it they would replace it with a refrigerator 'with the same features'.  They would look for one and call back that day to make arrangements for delivery. No call. I called in3-4 days , got someone new, again, and was told they would not replace it.  I went back to LG, they will not replace it either but want to give me a portion of what I paid.  I bought scratch and dent from Appliance Direct in town which has since closed. I am not trying to get something for nothing but no one expects for a brand new refrigerator to have to be replaced in 3 years and it certainly is not in my budget. After haggling with LG and Warrentech, LG will do nothing but 'talk' about a settlement. Warrentech agreed to send me my $856 purchase price. It is September 4, my warranty is good until October 9th! What recourse do I have???

Some stated have laws requiring manufacturers to have available parts for 7 years(California) but i feel LG should replace the refrigerator anyway.

A good class action sounds good to me.  A friend is also hassling about an LG dishwasher 3 years old
