I purschased three Hampton Bay room air conditioners for about $300. each, but moved to a new house with central air so we never used all three units.

Until Five years later, with the cost of living sky rocketing, we open the last room air conditioner to install it into a small home office. But Surprise the air conditioner had no control knobs and no manual. Called LG customer service to get the instructions on how to install and to get control knobs but LG electronics although they are sorry that their air condition was shipped with no knobs they want me to buy the missing knobs --temp knob and control knob for $2.08 each ; $4.16 but their minnimun is $10.00 so they want $10.00 for the control knobs that should have been included in the box for $300.00; No exception.

LG Electronics policy is if you dont buy their product and dont' catch the defect or learn that something is missing in 30 days of purchase and call them, you must pay for any missing parts if you want to be able to use their product. Thank God for me the motor was not missing when I opened the box.
