LGDSuperstore, Let's Go Digital Sold defective merchandise; refused refund; rude! Ripoff! Brooklyn New York
I purchased an Alpine N852A GPS navigation DVD from LGD. The unit was defective. The vendor refuses to allow me to return the defective merchandise, refused to repair or exchange the merchandise, and refused to issue a refund.
In a telephone call on November 23, 2004 to the company's customer service number, the customer service supervisor Daniel told me "to take whatever action I needed to take," in response to my explaining the problem, then being refused any resolution, and then my notifying him I would not pay for defective merchandise. In a second attempt by telephone to have the vendor provide me with either working merchandise or a refund, I insisted on their decision of whether they wanted to return the merchandise for a refund or ship me a replacement, the customer service representative, Michelle, hung up on me.
I finally faxed a letter to their president, Wally Segap explaining that I would report the business to the Attorney General for fraud and theft. I received an email with an RMA number; they refused to pay return postage. I sent the unit back over 3 weeks ago and have not been able to get a response from them as to what they are going to do.
LGD and their president Wally Segap should be put out of business for fraudulent and unethical business practices, theft, false advertising, and abusive practices, for starters. If anyone has an idea on how all of us who have been ripped off by Wally Segap and his company LGDSuperstore (Let's Go Digital), can be put out of business, I'm there.
