LHR ripoff fraudulant billing unfair practices ceaseless harassment refusal to acknowledge debt paid off Hamburg New York
My husband had a very old debt to Suncom which we discovered when we refinanced our home several months ago. To speed up the process, we allowed our bank to pay this off to a third party collections agency.
Soon thereafter we received notice in the mail and by phone from LHR regarding this debt. We explained what happened and they informed us that the previous collections agency had sold the account to them and the previous agency indicated the debt was still owed.
We contacted our bank and they contacted the agency they had paid. We then received a letter from the first agency showing the debt paid in full. We faxed this letter to LHR per their request.
A couple of weeks later the calls resumed. Time after time my husband spoke to representatives until he finally got the name and title of one person whom he has dealt with for the past few calls. She indicated they never showed receipt of the fax. So he sent it again and called this representative to make certain it was received. She indicated it was received and we asked for confirmation in letter form. She said they usually don't do that but she would request it (what?).
We never received anything and today...another call came in. We are at our wits end. This company's practices are beyond anything I have ever experienced before. We need some recourse to stop this right now.
Thank You
