We contacted LIALS which has numerous different phone numbers and finally mafe arrangements for my sister to be picked up at `12:30 on 7/16/2014 at 12:30 PM to be driven with her luggage from Island Park, New York to Newark Airport. She was flying to Scotland. After numerous phone cals beginning at 12;30 when the transportation hadn't arrived, we were assured that the driver would be there shortly. He arrived at 1:00 PM, a half an hour late claiming that the dispatcher had given him the wrong house number. I stood in the drivway, wilding waving my hands as he zoomed past the house at 1:00 PM.
Finaly, he saw me, turned around and stopped in front of the house claiming that he was late because the dispatcher had told him the house number was 40 instead of 240 although we carefully provided the cross streets and he had a GPS. The van was ancient and in the front seat sat a woman (his girl friend or companion) beacause I asked if my sister was the only passenger and he said yes. Tolls were to be paid and the tip as well as the fare in cash. Credit cards not accepted. My sister called me from the airport and said that the driver demanded $40 in tolls despite the fact that the tolls added up to $22.50 r/t. She adjusted her tip accordingly after discussing the the discrepenancy with the driver.
This company is totally unprofessional and to be avoided at all costs.
