I took my perfect almost new car to this place to get it washed after a snow storm and drove home. When I got out, I noticed my grille molding was missing. I drove back to the carwash and asked if they had found anything and sure enough they did. I told them that they were responsible because my car was fine before I went through the carwash and the manager vehemently denied it. I had nevr been in an accident and the car had just come from servicing a the dealership a moth before so I know for fact there was nothing wrong with it. This was the second wash it was getting since the service and I had no problems at the other place. Obviously their machinery somehow malfunctioned so if you're ever in the area, avoid this place unless you want your car damaged as well. You've been warned!

What type of car do you have?

It's funny that you implicitly trust the dealership yet don't trust the car wash. Did you know that many Automotive Dealerships don't employee ASE certified technicians, but put are put through a factory certification.

They also employee lot porters who get paid roughly the same as a car wash attendant.

An automatic car wash will only take off molding or trim if it was loose or has not been secured properly.

If you have ever seen the way vehicles are treated by transport companies, and auction houses, prior to delivery it would amaze you. I bought a brand new 2009 Chevrolet Silverado and a piece of the molding came off, beneath the surface you could see the factory molding tape, and crazy glue on the corners were they had tried to hide the defect. This was a car with less than 10 miles. Had I gone through a car wash it would have fallen off. Is that the car washes fault?

Further for your information when the machinery "malfunctions" it goes "bat s*(#". Please understand car wash equipment is designed to perform a general task of cleaning the big surfaces of most cars, and not designed to perform a precise action, which is why if the equipment would cause damage, something catastrophic would happen like, a scratch the size of a book that goes down the entire side of the car, or a motor falling off the support and landing on your hood, or a fixture coming apart and then the corresponding piece of equipment dancing on your roof unsecured.

The manager obviously did not handle this well, and didn't offer you any alternatives, I also haven't seen the car so can't determine what was done, but quite simply the machinery doesn't get tripped up and cause damage to one car, it would cause damage to all the cars that followed.

I find this website unfair as it doesn't attempt to be at all fair. I could post on here that a business I visited had a bunch of pedophiles working their and their is not attempt to verify any facts.
