In August of 2008 we took out a $10,000 Bond for our brokerage business with Liberty Financial as that was required amount for the brokerage bond.   This company was notified when the regulations changed and the bond required was changed to $75,000 that we were not going to be able to afford to increase the bond amount.   We had several calls to ask us if we wanted to do special financing to increase the amount and they were told no.   Approximately 11 months ago we called to request that they refund us the Bond money we put up.   We were told we had to write a letter to request the refund which we did.   Then we were told that we would not receive the bond money for a year.   We are not earning interest on this bond money and we are going to have to pay a percentage to cash in the bond.   But yet they are earning interest on our money for a additional year.

Due to recent floods again I have reached out to them that we could financially benefit from the refund of our bond as my husband has not been able to work since his Peterbilt truck was flooded in April.   Still we have to wait until August but yet they will not give us a date in August to expect our refund of the money we paid to put up this bond.

They have had our money since 2009 in full and since October of 2013 have known that we were not continuing our business.   They are earning interest on our money and holding our bond money and making us wait for one year from written notice.   I feel like this is a big rip off.
