My husband and I got behind on our credit cards. We contacted Liberty Settlements to help us make affordable monthly payments and become debt free in 36 months. It all started out great. We were put in touch with Howard Vinny. He seemed so nice and eager to help. He made progress with our situation. The next thing we know, Howard Vinny was no longer available. We were given Dillon Vaughan to assist us. He negotiated with Capital One and settled our smallest debt. We had the upmost faith in this company.

Almost two years later, we are still paying our monthly payment to GCS. I get a letter at work saying my wages are to be garnished and I am being sued. Immediately, I try and contact Dillon Vaughan through Liberty Settlements. I can not get any answer through the two different numbers I had. They just ring busy or say all circuits are busy...please try your call later. So then I tried to email them. To my amazement, the emails were no longer in service either. I have no way of contacting these people to find out what is going on.

So then I do some research on the internet only to find out there are no new numbers or email addresses available. Did they close up and steal my money? I decided to call the Better Business Bureau in Houston Texas. The lady I spoke with told me there have been over 58 complaints filed and only 22 have been resolved. She said they appear to still be in business. She gave me 3 other phone numbers to try. None of these numbers are in service either. Keith Stahl is the owner of this company. He basically stole a couple thousand dollars from my husband and I, and I have no way of getting in contact with him.

I also called the Attorney General in Houston Texas only to find out they can not help me either. No one will help us. We tried to do the right thing rather than file bankruptcy. Debt solution through Liberty Settlements is a SCAM. Do not fall for this companies smooth talk. Oh wait...you wont get into contact with anyone because it does not exist anymore and no one notified us. What a joke.
