Complaint Review: Liberty Sun Aka Specific Liberties - Liberty Credit Card - Teledraft

Telemarketer calls me and offers me a unsecured credit card with a 1500.00 limit. The processing fee is $279.00 that has to be taken directly out of my checking account. I asked many questions about the offer, she assured me that I would receive my card within 2 business days and that it was being provided by Well Fargo or Firstar Bank. I also would be able to take cash advances to repay my bank account for the $279.00.
I heard nothing from them for two months.

On 07-09-2004 a $279.00 bank draft was automatically taken from my account. I called Teledraft "the 3rd party" and they could give me no information. I called Teledraft again and spoke with Lanier. She then admitted to me that the company Specific Liberties went out of business and that yes she believes that I was ripped off. She told me to call 1-866-282-5550 and ask for shannon at Liberty Sun internet services. I called Shannon and Isabel at Liberty Sun said she was not in the office. Isabel stated that the two business' are not affiliated but Teledraft stated that Liberty Sun is the Parent Company and are the ones receiving the money for all the credit cards
