HE INFORMED ME HE COULD GUARANTEE ME A LOAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 10,000 IN AS LITTLE AS 5 DAYS THAT ALL I HAD TO DO WAS PAY THE FIRST FOUR OF THE LOAN PAYMENTS UPFRONT. I SIGNED AND PAID FEES TO GET A LOAN WITHIN 5 DAYS AND WAS FLAT OUT LIED TO. AS SOON AS I GAVE THEM MY INFORMATION, I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AT LIBERTYUNSECURED AGAIN. I came to ripoffreport to find any information on the company.  Most of these posts talk about the way the company does business, but I don't really see any follow throughs on how the company responded or did not respond to your complaint against them.  If you have followed through the whole process and either been declined the loan, or filed a complaint with your bank stating that the service promised was not provided, was your money returned by either Visa/MC or your bank?

Another thing, no one here has indicated that they have written the Attorney General of Florida, the US AG, or the FTC (which actually regulates credit repair companies such as improvecredit.me).  While ripoffreport may warn others, it won't do much for your situation or that of other victims.  If you feel you have been wronged, please write the Florida AG, the US AG, and the FTC.
I do not advocate this company, but am in consideration of their services.  They will not get shutdown if they are a scam until the government agency that regulates their industry is aware of the situation.  So, if you care, and feel they have misrepresented their position, write to the appropriate government agency in addition to posting on sites like this.  Thanks.

Liberty Unsecured loans

I received a call from these people as well. They called to tell me that I was pre approved for a loan of up to 5,000. The thing is that I will have to keep $500 in a checking account for at least 10 days straignt. What the hell is that. I asked about that the representative told me the reason is that the account is open and in good standing, and I will have to fax over a bank statement showing the $500 being in the account for those 10 days.  Thats a bunch of bull, because I've had many, many loans, and I never had to do anything like that before, Now that was my first clue that this is a scam company. Why should you have to pay for a loan, if approved your approved no matter what.  You should not have to add or pay upfront.  That's crazy, what happens is that they take you money as long as they have your information available and they run.  No more no less. Do not give personal informaton to Liberty or any other so called loan places.  Especially if they don't seem legit, and if they ask for payments upfront when you didn't even get the loan. Its NO all the way.  Take care and be careful.  I always google and fine out if anyone else may have had dealings with a company and as always I find out someone always had a problem or dealings with this company.

Concerns about Liberty Unsecured

#9General Comment

Tue, March 30, 2010

First, I want to say that I'm thankful that this web stie is here. Comments  posted by consumers in regard to businesses has been very helpful in avoiding scams.

I recently received several phone calls from Liberty Unserucred (954-779-6565 Ext 256) stating that they only need a little information and then they will be able to process my loan. I don't recall initiating the loan process with this company. However, I attempted to contact them to get more information about this loan request that I supposedly initiated. At this time no one has answered my call, but I have left a message.

I don't intend to provide them with any addditional information. I will attempt to obtain as much information regarding there company, the loan process and contact numbers. Does anyone have any suggestion about other questions that I might request to extablish the legtimacy or the illegitimacy of this company?

I've had other attempts by different companies to scam me and because information was available on this web site about these companies, I was able to recoup my money or prevent these companies from getting access to my bank accounts.

I looked up Liberty Unsecured and thought this was a good comapny.  We explained to a man Named Neil what we had gone through with other companies claimed they can do. He said let me run your credit and see what options we have. He called 15 min later stating we were pre approved for 2 loans for $12,500 and $17,000.  We said great what is the catch?  Nothing just have the first payment in your bank account and you are set.  Then we get a call the next day stating that he talked with his finace guy and het said we would need to tweak our credit just a little at the cost of $492.00.  We were tight on money already but we assured us that once we do this we would get the loan.  We did it with a company that works down the hall from them with the same number Hmm? and waited.  After 4 months we still have no loan and they will not call us back.  They pray on the small people who feel that we can't hire a Lawyer so they are safe.  Little do they know that I have a friends Dad who is a FBI agent who I have contacted with all the names involved from the credit side to the loan side.  If you have any info please forward over to me so we can build our case.  Stay away from these people!

Thanks

I'm considering doing business with this company and I am performing due diligence and I find a rediculous report like this...What is the deal???? You are reporting what a scam they are - How were you scammed??? I'm searching for legitimate info on this company and "YOU HAD A BAD FEELING?" Honestly, how is somone supposed to react to your bad feeling - who cares - if anything all you've done is make me concerned with your judgement by trying to be a "know it all". How were you harmed? I actually signed up to this site JUST because of this stupid report - This is supposed to be a place where you can come and see real reports on a company. Go take a prozac or something - You are an IDIOT.

Libertyunsecured is definitely a scam. I too was desperate for a sba loan so
i did the same thing and found them in a google search. Of course, like so many, know not to fall for online scams. But because of my desperation, my judgement was clouded and I filled out the online application and receive a call back from Andrew Mangini.
He asked me if I wanted to get a line of credit under for personal of business and when i told him business, he steered me to personal. He told me he needed to check my credit real quick and like a moron, I gave him my social and date of birth and he told he would call me back in 5 min. when he asked me for my social and date of birth I was hesitant but for some reason i did. I immediately googled the name and saw this report. He called me back in 5 mn and I let it to goto voicemail. He told me that everything looks good and he needed me to fill out an application and email it back. of course I am going to ignore him, but do you (person who filed 1st reprt) think that I am screwed since he has my social and date of birth? i am going to keep a real close eye on my credit reports to make sure, but I hope it will be OK.
