I took the "best" turkey I ever got to life like taxidermy in West Liberty, Kentucky. After a year went by I began to call and inquire about my mount. "All I have to do is paint the head and it will be done" is what I was told. So, in good faith my turkey was nearly completed, I took him another turkey to be mounted full-strut. The bottom line is this April will be the 3rd turkey season sine I took him my birds to be mounted. I have called numerous times, I have gotten one excuse after another, literally. He says my mounts are completed and at the other store, which is over a 3 hour drive from here and which I cannot find a listing. I would go get my birds but I was told he does not have them here, "They are at the other store." For over 2 years all I have been told is, "They are finished, You'll get them next week" or "They are at the other store, I'll bring them in this weekend" and I have heard this for over 2 years. I taled to other taxidermist who said after this amount of time, "I probaly wouldn't be getting my birds back." I took this man's word to do a job in good faith, he ripped me off, I never got my mounts back. I contacted the National Taxidermy foundation and the Kentucky taxidermy foundation( who were both very helpfull) and he was not liscened through either.

I contacted the BBB and if it's not resolved in 30 days, I am going to sue him for the costs he was going to charge me to mount my turkeys, which was 450$ each. It's a shame a man puts in money and time for wildlife management to hunt wild turkeys and then get ripped off by a taxidermist.
