The company representative called my 86 year old mother telling her she won a free item and then asked for payment. She doesn't have a credit card so they told her to provide her bank information.  She had to go find an old cancelled check to give them this information. They charged us $100 for a FREE item. Also, my mother already has a medical alert system. This company is in the business of protecting elderly lives and they should know how vulnerable elderly people are to scams over the phone.
