It pays to make a stink with the right people when it comes to this ripoff company's arrogant intransigence and refusal to refund any money. I originally posted here in mid January as my experience was virtually identical to everyone else.

Per the suggestion of many others in this forum, I filed a complaint with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp), a joint FTC/FBI operation. I also filed with the Attorney General's Office of the State of Ohio (www.ag.state.oh.us), instead of my home state. Both have online forms and responded immediately.

In the case of the Attorney General's office, I also sent the UNOPENED, POSTMARKED envelope containing the refill and COPIES of my statements showing the dated charges. For security, be sure to black out all but the last four digits of your account. I mailed via USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation and noted "Re: Lifekey, Berkely Nutraceuticals" on the address label to route the package more efficiently.

Lo and behold, Lifekey completely refunded the charge within two weeks of filing the complaints.

I can only speculate that contact from the Attorney General's office - as is apparently customary in cases of this nature - "encouraged" Lifekey to respond.
