I attempted to contact the customer service office by phone to cancel my membership because I was uncomfortable with the direct billing to my credit card I was referred to the website 96shoes.com. However, in attempting to log on to this website to cancel I was unable to reach the site.

I was told via this "rip-off" site that the website does not exist. In attempting to contact customer service again you only get a recording referring all cancellation back to the 96shoes.com website for cancellations only. It seems that if you wanted to order the product you can do it easily but cancellations don't exist.

All Fraudulent Websites Have a Cancellation Number

#2Consumer Suggestion

It's on the back of your credit/debit card.
Call the number and report your card lost. You'll get a new one in a few days and these crooks will get no more money for crack n' whores :).

Also, I found a cool thing on the Citibank website the other day. Citibank now offers "Virtual Account Numbers" for one time transactions. These are not your real account number, but will map back to your account. They only work for one merchant, one time, and expire after less than two months(in case a merchant has to refund to the # after a transaction). I plan on using this for all (I repeat ALL) online transactions now. Even Yahoo gives your credit info to other companies to use, I mean who can you trust?
