Tried to call and cancel membership (had bought a home gym, didn't need gym membership). Was told that I needed to quit in writing, either by mail or in person. So, I wrote a letter to the headquarters office, and included my last month's membership by check. Got several calls from LFF salespeople, claiming that they were "confirming" cancellation, but trying to sell more memberships. At about this same time, had to cancel my debit card (wallet got stolen). LFF called back, said they'd tried to access my debit account again (for some reason), but couldn't (since I'd cancelled it), so I owed them $15 for trying. I paid the $15, and was assured that my membership was really, truly cancelled now. They called again several more times, trying to sell memberships again. Then they called again, said I owed them for one more month's membership fee- and another $15, because they'd tried to bill my cancelled debit account again. I've had it with these people; anybody know a good class action lawyer?
