  Lifestyle Family Fitness company is unethical and dishonest. After six years with this gym, I went to my facility here in Jacksonville, FL to cancel my membership. I was treated rudely by the staff, given the run around about who I needed to speak with to terminate the membership.
   I went home and called the corp. office and was told all I needed to do was send an email to rdouglas@lff.com and the membership would be terminated. I sent the email as instructed on March 28th, 2011. 
   The next month they charged my credit card again. I thought okay maybe that was the last payment, no big deal. In May they charged my credit card again. I called back to the corp. office. Only this time I was told that was not the proper way to cancel your membership and they didn't know why I was told that. Now I'm told I need to write a letter and send it in to the corp. office to "request" to terminate my membership"... are you kidding me? So I called my credit card company and stopped the payments.

  Now I am being harassed by this company and they are still sending me statements in the mail requesting payments for June and July; I guess August will be next. As late as today August 22, 2011, I spoke with smenenedez@lff.com at the corp. office and now she tells me that "you didn't termeninate your membership. You were suppose to email Mr. Douglas again after you sent the first email and agree to terminate your membership".

  I've never heard this before today and I have never received a reply from Mr. Douglas or anyone at Lifestyle. Ms. Menendez states "most likely it went to your spam"... really? And after all these phone calls back and forth for the past five months and now they have another reason the membership is not cancelled? 

  In the meantime I have contacted BBB and started  litigation against this company to put a stop to this unethical practice for once and for all.
