Lift Serum Pro I was offered a free product while accessing Sermon Audio. com No terms or conditions, only £1.99 postage asked for. Took £84.71 from my bank account. I was not advised to rreturn the free product within 14 days if not satisfied. Linlithgow, Scotland. Nationwide
I was offered one of 3 products free of charge when I accessed Sermon. Audio.com -a site I visit requently. I chose Lift Serum Pro. Since I foolishly revealed my bank details when paying the postage of £1.99, and saw the bill for £84.71 on my bank statement in about two weeks, I immediately contacted my bank and cancelled my Visa account by which the £1.99 had been paid.
At that time I did not know that a firm called LiftSerum existed. I received my product fairly promptly but was surprised to find that it had a Czec postage stamp. There were NO terms or conditions mentioned in the original offer.
I received a form from my bank and filled it in hoping to recoup my money from what appeared to be a 'hacked' account. The bank came back to me immediately, within an hour, having contacted Lift Serum. The firm asked me to phone them which I did immediately and I spoke to a rep. She stuck to her argument that because I had not fulfilled the terms and conditions i.e. I should have returned the 'trial' product within 14 days if not satusfied , I was automatically charged the full amount of £84.71. Incidentally, the £1.99 postage, according to the web site should show payment to a firm called LIFT DUO. My bank statement states the £1.99 was paid to SERUMOFFER.
May I say the LIFTSERUM PRO web site looks very genuine but there are so many complaints registered, some similar to mine? Had I known the origin of the 'free' product that was advertised on Sermon. Audio I would have consulted the web site and certainly would have had nothing to do with it. It was only when I received the product that I saw the web site details and phone number. There was no address. Since that I have found a Czech address on the web site.
I have written to Sermon. Audio, informing them of the scam, but the culprit has probably moved on by now.
I have never been conned before!
Thank you
