I requested a quote from Lightning and received a quote. Before the agreement was reviewed and signed, my account was hit with the $300.00 Deposit. Subsequent telephone calls to Brad were not returned as well as any emails. One email brought to Brad's attention that my mother's cancer treatments had to continue and our stay in California had to be extended. There was no response to this email. In a subsequent email I made it clear to Brad that nothing has been signed and agreed upon, and therefore the $300.00 had to be returned. NO ANSWER! It was highly upsetting when I received a call from a trucker wanted to know when he could pick up the car! Brad did not communicate this to me and had not communicated the fact there was no agreement to the truck driver. The driver was not pleased when I gave him Brad's number. After everything , I forwarded all this information to the Better Business Bureau (Case #90247586) and Lightning did not even answer to the Better Business Bureau. This has now been escalated up through the Better Business Bureau. My best recommendation is to not use this outfit at any cost.

Brad I have left a voice mail, and are growing increasingly concerned about my request to transport my car.  No one has returned my call after calls to Margaret.  What concerns me more is the following review that I found:
Beware the subcontractor!
Our experience has been a nightmare. Lightning subcontracted with "Wonderful Trucking" to ship our vehicle from California to Virginia. While Lightning had good reviews, Wonderful received bad review after bad review. Despite being promised door to door service, the trucking company calls the day before to tell us they can only drop the car at a Home Depot thirty minutes away. Yet, they refuse to refund any of the contract price. Of course, the guys at Lightning were courteous and responsive until we started having problems, then they refused to return our calls or emails. Horrible customer service! {LESS}
 
My other concern is the $300.00 has already been deducted, and I am not hearing from anyone!
 
I will expect a call by both you and Margaret before the end of the day, or I will be forced to contact another carrier at which time I will contact my bank and dispute the charge, and also contact the Better Business Bureau.
 
As a retired NYPD Lieutenant, I will make contacts to colleagues should I find it necessary.

Brad,

We have had to cancel our relocation.  My mother has found more cancer, and will be entering Stanford University Medical Center for medical treatment.  Please cancel our quote and order, and I will let you know when we will be returning to the east coast.
