LikeTelevision & PayPal Liketelevision.com Like Television cancelled my subscription, but continued to bill me & refuses to pay it back. Charlotte, North Carolina
On March 2, 2009 I subscribed to Like Television for $14.95 per month reaccuring charge. They use PayPal for their transactions (that should have been a tip off right there). On September 11, 2009 I contacted Willy Krause at Like Television and explained that I wanted to cancel my subscription, but couldn`t figure out how.He told me I had to cancel through PayPal, but should I have difficulty to let him know & he`d take care of it. I informed him I no longer had a Paypal account, so he then sent me an email saying that he had cancelled the subscription for me.
5 months later I discovered that Like Television had continued billing me through my girlfriend`s Paypal account (we transferred it to her account when I closed mine). I then contacted Like Television & Willy Krause is claiming that It`s my fault for not cancelling the account through Paypal, even though I have an email from him stating that he cancelled the subscription. I filed a dispute with Paypal and as usual they claim that it was an authorized transaction. I told Paypal that I have a statement in writing from Like Television stating that they closed my account & accidently continued to charge me, but Paypal doesn`t seem the least bit interested in even seeing that documentation.
It`s common knowledge that Paypal is nothing more than a scam operation & has literally ripped off thousands of people. I originally closed my Paypal account because they screwed me before...I guess I`ve been screwed by them twice. Stay away from LikeTelevision.Com, they`re a lying rip off company...Same applies to PayPal. Any advice?
