Complaint Review: Lilplay.com

The site lures you in by having ads claiming that you can downlaod particular books, movies, games etc but once you get to the site there's a sign up process (which is normal) with credit card information required. They offer a free trial but if you read carefully you'll note that you'll be charged $29.99 after five days (which sadly is also pretty normal). Upon getting to the site, they didn't have the book that I was looking for that the clickbait ad lured me with. After realizing this I went to cancel my "membership" as to not be charged. When I went to do that, they had a "speedy" option to cancel which costs a dollar or a three day process if you don't want to pay (which is complete bullshit). I picked the free option to cancel my "free membership" amd after that I received an email that I had been charged $2.95 for a "premium multimedia upgrade"... The $2.95 isn't a lot of money I realize but it's disgusting business practices. The site is nothing but a shitty scam and people need to be aware and not use it. I'm more tech savvy than most so I know plenty of poor people are playing these s**t heads every month without realizing it and if they do, they're then charged money to cancel. Again, disgusting business practices, I can't wait until they get shut down.
