LINCOLN FINANCIAL GROUP Plays the "delay, deny, hope they die" game to honestly disabled people Omaha Nebraska
I am a 43 year old single mother of two going through a "delay, deny hope they die" process with Lincoln Financial/Jefferson Pilot insurance company. They have been provided with all the needed documentation that verifies my disability. They have received documentation from three physicians, including one of the top doctors in my state. But they are playing games to avoid paying me, like these insurance companies do to thousands to make a profit. They have brought me to the point of devestation. I cannot pay my rent, car insurance, car payment, bills, etc and have been forced to go on public assistance. My diagnosis is real and confirmed but they continue to play games because they know I am poor and sick and have limited resources to fight them. Fibromyalgia is real. It causes me constant pain, headaches, sleeping, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, inability to concentrate and multiple other problems. The stress of what they are putting me through is making my condition worse. I cannot drive safetly, attend my child's events, walk up stairs, walk my dog, dry off with a towel. I was a normal person who now lives a miserable life. I have gone from being a productive nurse that supported her family to someone on welfare who cannot even hug their children without pain. Now I have been two months without ANY income because they are trying to wear me down. I want everyone who sees this to write, fax or call them and tell them what you think of insurance companies that abuse their discretion to make a profit at the expense of honestly disabled adults just trying to make ends meet and support their children. It is hard enough to deal with a disability, but even worse when these money monger insurance companies take every advantage of your inabilities to pad their pockets.
I have provided them with all the information they required in the timeframe they demanded. They don't have anyone who has any knowledge in my disabilty reviewing my information. They don't even have an accurate job description of my job. Now they say they "need more time", but don't even tell you why they need more time or how much time.
I have learned this is common practice with insurance companies but it is at the expense of honest people who are already dealing with a devestating change in their life and lifestyle and they put them at risk of not being able to survive on top of it.
Please pass this along to everyone you know and help me. Tell Lincoln Financial to treat Marie fair and stop playing this game at at:
