Linda Mar Care Center is the absolute worst place to send your elderly relatives to live out their lives in misery. At least 60% of the patients are suffering from Alzheimers or dementia. They never have enough CNA's to take care of the patients. Approximately 80$ of the certified nursing assistants quit or get fired by management.
There is constant screaming by the dementia and Alzheimers patients, and the management does not care. They have changed administrators at least 3 times in the past year. They have flunked their CA state health inspection evaluation last December, 2005. The then Director, Terry Stewart was fired by Steven Shipley the regional manager. The prior administrator, Louie Rios was fired for scimming money off the accounts. The current manager, Curt Rodriguez is not much better. Is this where you want your loved ones to spend the remainder of their lives?
Do yourself and your loved ones a favor, avoid Linda Mar Care Center like the plague.

Steve: Just like the "liar" I mean lawyer that your are, how dare you say that Louie Rios was fired for taking money. The company NAHCI has a billing system that the corp office helps with the billing and all monies are deposited to a general account which the facility has no access too. So leave the facility alone, let them take care of the residents and go back to chasing those red and white box trucks with lights flashing on top.

I know this company well and I know the individual filling the ripoff report. The comments about the named individuals are defamatory, untrue, and grounds for a libel lawsuit. I think any intelligent human being can read in-between the lines of a malicious, miscalculated comment and make an informed decision for themselves.
Linda Mar Care Center is a proud fixture in the Pacifica community and has served the public and its loved ones for over 30 years. As with any nursing home, the only way to truly judge is by seeing it for yourself and checking with credible, reliable resources.

Yet again, Linda Mar Care Center bids good bye to another so-called director of services and the arrival of its fourth director since August, 2005, when Louie Rios was so unceremoniously asked to live. Good ridence and good bye to Curt Rodriguez, the latest poor excuse for a manager. Wonder how long the new guy, Justin, will last. Usually seems to be 4 months at best. We will see.

Food service. The food is about one step below McDonalds. Possibly it would be more humane if they served the patients dog food, as most of the entrees appear to be rice covered in mystery sauce with mystery meat. At least with Pedegree Dog Food you know what you are getting to eat. Those patients at Linda Mar Care Center have no choice in the matter.
