Linda's Camera World is operating on Ebay and sells por quality products.I tried 2 months to locate their real address, to sue them.I found out, that the given address is fake and mail will be diverted from there to another mailbox.

Contrary to their website, they do not refund or take returns and do not provide a life addressI reported to the GA in Nevada and Florida.Unforunatel they are protected by Ebay, which also refused to submit a valid address.I wrote a registered,returnreceipt letter to the CEO of Ebay, without ever getting an answer.They operate out of the given address in Las Vegas, without having a business license.The camcorder SVP 2400 ( Silicon Valley Peripherals) is of poor quality and works inpropery. Battery holds max 5 min.I spent already more than the whole merchandise is worth(over 300.00USD)in email printouts, phonecalls and printing cartidges.I have close to 1oo pages of documentation.If that would be a serious Company, they would have no reasons to hide behind aut.Computer emails and a fake address.That is a serious warning to protect other buyers from doing business with LCW.They better should fold their money in little sailship and let them float in the next lake,or the better idea give the money to charity.This Company, or who ever is behind this name) is a real internet scamartist.

To summerize; Buyer agreed to our auction terms and accepted our price, but refused to follow the same terms when he didn't like his item.

I do not endorse or support this site. I am only responding to help this customer and future customers find the right path to solving any problem they may have with an item purchased from lindas_camera_world on ebay. I will post no follow up to the comments made by the owners or representatives of this site. I request the company contact information obtained and posted without our permission, be removed. I request my comments be posted as written,

The simple fact of this complaint is the terms of the sale were exchange only as the item was at the end of its lifespan, and was a model that was closing out after many years. He agreed to that term, and accepted our very low price based on that term, but didn't want to live up to that term when he didn't like it, and refused to let us help him find another item that would better suit him. I have sold over 1500 units of this item, and it is one of our most popular models for many years (HDDV-2400). I understand he may not like, or understand the cutting edge technology of this multifunction item, but the item is a very popular and many happy folks (including myself), who use it to listen to MP3 music, watch MPEG4 movies, take VGA resolution videos, and snap 5MP digital images that can be expanded to 12MP for printing larger size prints.

This item may be exchanged for any other item listed in our store as BIN provided the item is returned to us in the same condition it was received. If you wish to exchange an item you must contact us before returning the item. The full amount of your winning bid may be applied to the price of the exchange. Items received damaged or non-functioning will be returned to manufacturer under the included 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

We even offered to extend the 7 days listed in his auction for months afterward to take care of his issues. He refused. I still to this day offer to exchange his item if he doesn't like it, for any other item of the same value, if it is returned in the same condition it was sent. That offer stands, just to prove he is the fraud.

He also states; I do not provide a life address'. I don't know what a life address is, but we provided him a return address to exchange his item on many occasions, which is documented in squaretrade, and on email. We are an internet business, and do not have a retail location, and we do not give out our employee or owner addresses for obvious reasons. We are incorporated according to all laws governing our business, our contact information is available to be requested through ebay.

He also states the item works inpropery'. If the item is not functioning properly', then it should be returned and evaluated by the manufacturer, whose information has been provided to him many times, and is posted in our ebay links. I included a 1 year warranty to take care of any workmanship issues.

He also states we hide behind aut.Computer emails and a fake address'. That is simply false. We offer to this day to discus this with him, or exchange his item, and the manufacturer offers to fix the item for 1 year according to the warranty. We even paid $20 for an independent 3rd party squaretrade mediator to discus the issues with him fairly, and help him solve his issues. (www.squaretrade.com, SquareTrade pioneered large scale online dispute resolution, has handled over 2 million disputes across 120 countries in 5 languages, helping consumers and merchants mediate resolutions to ecommerce disputes). The mediator closed the discussion because he was so unreasonable in the mediation.

Finally, the item he purchased was not poor quality, the item has over 100 positive feedbacks on my ebay site this year, and I could not find one complaint about this item in feedback in over 6 months.

I am sure somehow the haters here at this site will find a way to turn our fair solution offer into some horrible act on our part, but we cant help that. We will let our over 18800 satisfied positive feedback leaving customers over many years on eBay speak for how we do business.

The owners of this site require us in all rebuttals to also '...explain why there are so many Rip-off Reports where consumers claim they are being victimized by you or your company.' First of all, we didn't 'victimize' anyone. We also don't know what 'so many' reports are, we now see 4 (which includes this one), if there are any others we would like to know about them and we will respond when and where it is appropriate. We have completed over 20,000 transactions on eBay, human errors sometimes (although rarely) occur, but no one here would knowingly and intentionally 'Rip-off' anyone, and to say so is absurd and probably liable. Additionally, we have a very high satisfaction rate on eBay (98.9% as of this post). There's no rip-off here other then this 'rip-off website' misleading honest customers by trying to reinvent what the time proven feedback system on eBay establishes, and polite and direct communication between buyers and sellers accomplishes.

We understand shopping electronically can be challenging, and buying items in an auction environment can be additionally challenging. That's why we offer a satisfaction guarantee on every item (even on CLOSEOUT and LIQUIDATION auction offers!!!).
