Brian Bell, President of Links Publications (76 Summer Street. Boston, MA. 02110) placed an advertisement on craiglist looking for a transfer of data from one linux based system to another via ssh.  Upon talking to Brian, I found out the issue was a lot deeper, it appears GoDaddy informed Brian his HDD crashed and the data was unrecoverable, but it appeared to be hacked and the data was still available on the old HDD.

Over the course of a couple nights, I continued to help Brain recover his data and configure his new server.  The hours started to add up quickly, so I asked Brian to start issuing payments for work previously done, he said he was doing bill pay through citizen's bank and being a Bill Pay user myself, I know the payment could take a week or so.  One week later, I inquired about the payment when Brian asked for more assistance.  He prefixed the call by saying Citizen's messed up the request and he needs to contact them.  This happened twice again before he said he was issuing a paper check.  It got to the point I assumed I was not getting paid and refused to assist any further until payment is made and now he wants me to lawyer up.

Needless to say, the bill is only a little over the maximum allowed by MA Small Claims, so I guess I am going to have to eat some of it and bring him to Small Claims.
