Lisa And Michael Crocker Dog (Coton de Tulear) Scam Endwell New York
I mailed a check to Lisa Crocker today for a deposit on a Coton de Tulear puppy which I was going to receive 3rd week of November. She appeared really nice and sweet in the e-mails so I didn't think of anything until she asked me to mail a money order and make it out to Michael Crocker, her husband b/c the bank is in his work building. I e-mail her again and I think she got a little nervous and said a check if fine. I search for their names and matching address and there was no information along w/ a few things that just doesn't seem right so I got even more suspicious.
I googled Lisa and Michael Crocker and found this http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/072/RipOff0072105.htm and had to cancel the check tonight, a $30 lesson. I'm thankful for this website, therefore, I want to add to this report especially for others who just want to buy a dog from a geunine breeder who loves their dogs.
I did e-mail her letting her know that I cancelled the check as a courtesy so she doesn't have to pay a fee for a bounce check. I'm only doing this b/c she was being nice. It's just too bad it wasn't genuine and had a motive.
I don't want to give their physical address to protect their privacy but if you ever came across this website http://www.beep.com/members/cotonpuppies/ or this email address Starlight Starbright or by the name Lisa Crocker and Michael Crocker living Upstate New York, just be careful.
Do your research thoroughly before buying a puppy from a breeder, make sure they're legit and do check ripoffreport.com for any scams.

Lisa Crocker has been conning people with her sale of inferior dogs since at least 2003. I purchased a havanese from her in 2003. I still have the dog, and he is definitely not full bred. He has serious skin and eye problems,and he weighs 40 lbs. she is wanted in Shelby County, tn on forgery charges. I live in the collierville, tn area and when she stopped corresponding with me about receiving my pet's papers (I paid $1200 for him), I tracked down where she lived. When I showed up at her house, I was told by a neighbor that she and her family had moved out during the middle of the night. The forgery charges relate to shipping dogs with fake health certificates. It makes me sick to my stomach when I read her rebuttals. She is lying. She gets her dogs from another crook from overseas. It has been ten years for me and I am still furious. Please, do not buy a dog from her!! From, another sucker.

I just wanted to write in my experience with Lisa Crocker. I purchased a Coton de Tulear from Lisa in February this year. I am sure this was from the same litter as this person was attempting to purchase from. I called and talked with her for quite awhile on the phone, and she was very informative and easy to deal with. I let her know that I would like to buy the boy puppy she had and my friend bought the girl puppy. She did ask for a money order, which I understand the reasons for this, as she is dealing with a complete stranger, as I was. I got the money order, sent to her, and received my puppy when promised. I also received the papers for him. My friends girl puppy was also received with mine and her papers as well. These two puppies were in very good shape when arrived, very healthy, very smart and are the joys of our lives. I just wanted to report this experience we had, as it was very good and the pups are very exceptional puppies and very intelligent. Would not trade them for the world. I am sorry this person became suspicous and did not receive her puppy, but just wanted to let all know that I did have a very good experience with my puppy purchase.
