Complaint Review: Lisa Crocker

I found Lisa Crocker on www.puppyfind.com. She seemed very knowledgeable and helpful and I felt comfortable purchasing my Tibetan Terrier puppy from her. She advertised the litter as AKC puppies with Champion bloodlines with show potential. I signed a purchase agreement when the puppy was 3 weeks old for $1500 with delivery of the puppy at 8 weeks. We corresponded via e-mail (luvstibetans@gmail.com) and Lisa sent me pictures of our puppy periodically. Lisa worked with me and went above and beyond the call of duty to get our puppy to us for Christmas. I felt completely comfortable with my purchase.

A few days after receiving our puppy, Lisa e-mailed and apologized for the delay of the AKC papers. She explained time got away from her due to the holidays. It seemed reasonable to me and I continued to feel comfortable.

I continued my correspondence with Lisa. Providing pictures, updates on our puppy, etc. I enrolled our puppy in an AKC puppy class and also in conformation class in hopes to begin showing our puppy by six months old. Lisa abruptly stopped responding to my e-mails so I began calling her. Her phone rings and rings with no type of answering machine or service. I began feeling very uneasy and resorted to sending a letter delivered by Federal Express. I still have not heard from her and I have not received papers.

I am very disappointed if indeed Lisa is running some sort of "puppy scam". I scraped the $1500 together to purchase a potential Champion.
