Complaint Review: Lisa's Little Chihuahuas

To whom it may concern,
My name is Michael Murphy, and on or about June 13, 2005. I contacted a breeder by the name of Lisa Grey d.b.a. Lisa's Little Chihuahuas, and inquired about purchasing a beautiful little brindle blue Chihuahua from her. After some email and phone conversation, It was determined that I would purchase this puppy.

I foolishly paid a $200.00 deposit on her pay pal account linked to her website. I was to receive a written contract stating her guarantee of the dog as well as weekly updated pictures. I received a message from her two days later asking me to repay the $200.00 deposit to another pay pal account that the first account had been deactivated for some reason or another.

I did this, because I also received an email from pay pal that a refund would be issued. Since that time BOTH deposits have cleared my account. And I have seven documented emails that have gone un responded to about the contract, pictures and the so-called refund. I did manage to get a hold of this lady on June 26, 2005 and she assured me that she would get all of the above straightened out.

Today is July 1, 2005 and I have never heard from her again. Upon further investigation, I have discovered that she has 4 Better Business Bureau complaints against her business, three of which have never been resolved. Also she showed up on Pet-Abuse.Com as the AKC Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended Ms. Grey from all AKC privileges for six months and imposed a $500.00 fine for having submitted or caused to be submitted two litter registration applications that she knew contained false certifications.

I feel that some one should be aware of this breeder's practice. The worst part is that she kept the puppy (if there really is one) from a wonderful home, not to mention the $400.00 dollars I have lost. Please make someone aware of her practices.
