Complaint Review: Lisa Heathcote AP of Stewart Elementary in Bradenton Florida

Lisa Heathcote is the Assistant Principal of Ida Stewart Elementary in Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida.  Originally from Minnesota, Heathcote spent two years as the AP of Daughtery Elementaty (also in Manatee County) before moving to Stewart Elementary.  I worked with Heathcote at Stewart Elementary, but heard from employees at Daughtery Elemenary that they were elated to see Heathcote leave after a reign of terror.  Heathcote is self-serving and will lie, destroy career of anyone she does not like.  I heard about one employee who was falsely accused of abuse at Daughtery because Heathcote didn't like her, charges that were later dismissed.  Even the child interviewed denied the teacher did anything.  Stewart Elementary is a public school, but is in an affluent area of town, so the parent base is wealthy.  Because of this, the school has an extremely elitist attitude and several parents even complained about the number of African-American students who were coming to the school.  Heathcote calls herself a "curriculum specialist" and her big claim to fame is a school that she worked at in Minnesota.  If the school was sucessful it had nothing to do with Heathcote.  Heathcote runs the school with Principal Joe Hougland who has a demeanor reminiscent of someone in the military, haircut and all.  In reality, s****.>
