Went back to Listia for a while because I thought I could do it without being scammed this time by simply offering my videos. I was wrong and they scammed me again. Take a look at this:

I recently completed a few of your offers for credits and never got the credits. What I did get from the last offer I did was a virus on my computer that caused me to have to not only clear it with a virus remover, but I had to restore my computer systems to a previous restore point because the virus prevented me from being able to log in to any of my online accounts or upload files for delivery which cost my business about $500 in lost hours and I lost a $450 3D imaging software program (Corel) I installed last week as a result. The offer that gave me the virus was an image enhancement download. I am not asking you to cover my losses, I am however asking that you investigate this offer, find out what this virus is and how much damage it did to my computer, remove the offer and at least give me the credits I earned from the offers I finished so all of this trouble was not for nothing.

If nothing else, just find the virus and remove it from your site. Listia is a fun website, it would be a shame if I had to stop using it from fear of even greater losses. And please don't just let this go. I took the time to contact you on this matter, the least you can do is take the time to reply. I only mention this because I had a profile on here many months back where I was scammed by another user and when I made a complaint about it I waited 2 weeks for a reply and never got one. It took a long time for me to come back. It will not happen a third time. A website this popular should be safe to use.

Hi flashofinsanity,
Im very sorry that you've not received the credits for the offer you completed, and I'll do my best to help you get the credits you deserve as fast as possible. As much as I would like to solve your problem right away for you, this situation is out of the control of Listia directly, so please contact the company that posted the offer that you completed. Their offers are displayed on our site via a "window" so to speak. I will do my best to help you get to the bottom of this, but unfortunately, there's only so much I can do.

The first step is to visit the page: www.listia.com/account/buy_credits This page displays the four companies that supply the special offers for Listia: Trialpay, PeanutLabs, RadiumOne, Paymentwall. To view any offers you have completed, or started but not yet completed, you can view those by a help link in the top right of each companys tab. Not all of the links state help...some might say support or missing credits depending on the company. Once you locate the company that hosted the offer that you completed, you can contact them to find out why there is an issue with your offer. Once the company tells us the offer has been completed successfully, our automated system automatically puts the credits into your account.

Im sorry I couldnt personally solve your problem, but I hope I was able to provide the steps needed to get your missing credits. Please rate my response so that we can continue improving our support to you...it takes less than 5 seconds and it means a lot to us.

Hello Kevin,
Thank you for your help in this matter. I have done as requested and the service is unavailable for filing a dispute. I have taken a few screenshots to show you exactly what offers I am talking about. The last offer I did was called CoolPic and it is the one that installed the virus on my computer in addition to a lot of other tools and useless web toys that I told it NOT to install but it did anyway. I understand that the offers displayed are under the control of another company, this being the case, if a company you do business with is freely giving out viruses to your site users, you may want to reconsider doing business with them as this will only serve to give Listia a bad name when it is at the fault of someone else. I see Listia pop up on consumer watchdog sites all the time from people saying they were scammed or the victim of fraud on Listia all the time and my guess is that it is due to the offers for credits. Save your company name and lose the bad advertisers, just my opinion.

As for now, I have put in all the time I can afford away from running my business to take care of this issue, basically I just want to know that any offers you provide for credits will be safe to use in the future. I like Listia, I have gained many rare collectors items that I would not have been able to get otherwise and they cost me nothing more than a few hours of my time designing 3D videos and logos for other Listia users. I am the current high bidder now on a very rare coin from the 17th century, would be amazing to get it, and I never would have found had it not been for Listia, so I thank you for offering this service, please just talk to your higher up's and ask them to rethink their ad offers and consider the safety of users over the bottom line. Thank you for your time.

Can I ask WHY this support ticket was closed? This is not even close to being solved or resolved. You didn't do a thing. I have lost hundreds of dollars due to a virus I got from YOUR WEBSITE and you're just going to ignore me? Did I fail to mention that I also own an internet consumer watchdog website? The world will know of your misdeeds. You will be labeled as a scam and you will lose. TRUST THAT!!! This entire message will be posted to Facebook, Twitter, Google +1, Pinterest, my own anti scam website and ripoffreport.com

Delete me if you want, Who would want to stay on a site who cares more about bottom line that the client?

Possible virus &/or Malware Victim of Listia

Hi, I just finished reading your report of a Listia credit earning survey giving your computer a virus &/or Malware.  I have been browsing the many reports of this site all day. Reason being is because I have been listing & buying on Listia for several months now but am still fairly new to the community.  I became more curious about the sites reputation when I shipped out a brand new Disney DVD that ended with a less than perfect delivery expierience. The winner of my auction followed all the rules & steps necessary on completion of my item so at first I had no reason to worry. i sent out the package on a Monday. The person that won repeatedly contacted me about the status of delivery. I am a commited seller & I check my inbox often to make sure there are no problems or questions reguarding one of my ended auctions. I also always send a msg to the winner instantly following the auction notifying them that I am aware it has ended & they are the winner. I als express my gratitude. However I was unable to keep up with this particular winner replies. I responded to her as often as possible all the while trying to maintain a professional realationship as she did not. The comment feed had gotten so long it became a chore just to scroll through it. She would send msgs about previous auctions sheb had listed telling me to watch for one in the future. I agreed. Then she started to inquire about my childrens ages & their interests. I replied. As the days passed she started to veer the conversation in the direction of her negative expieriences in her previous transactions on the site stating that one time she never recieved the item & another the person didn't claim they received one she had sent....... long story short, by the middle of the week I started to get worried that the things she was talking about she was planning on doing to me. All I could do is continue to respond to her msgs & hope she kept sending them since communication is key in avoiding a scammer. By Wednesday I told her it should be there by the next day. She replied again with another scary story. Every day after that I would wake up & check my msgs to see another reply, "didn't come today maybe tomorrow". On Friday, after receiving that msg I told her that it didn't seem right & something must be wrong. Never have I heard of a package taking so long to arrive. I proceeded to assure her that i would make it my buisness to figure out where it went. I told her that the receipt the post office gives you has a label # on it & they can help you, after 6 buisness days, find out where it went ifyou didn't buy the confirmation. I think that scared her because she took more time than usual to respond with, "maybe it will come tomorrow or Sunday. Sunday?! Mail doesn't circulate on Sunday. i didn't tell her this because if she would've said she received it Sunday I would have been able to confirm my suspicions of her motives. She must've wised up because finally on Monday I received the credits & a msg of gratitude.

This issue wa my reasoning for wanting to research more about Listia's reputation. When I read this report about a virus it kinda hit home for me. I decided since I have been doing so well on Listia selling my sons old clothing to get him more on a fixed income that I would try selling on ebay to earn money since my disability enables me to perform many other jobs. & I would still be at home with my children. When I attempted to sell on ebay, however, a very unusual thing happened. I would select a category & click continue to be redirected each time to an error msg telling me I did not select a category. I tried all different ways around this from contacting their customer service to installing the app on my ipod to get passed the category point. Since the app allowed me to select a category I realized the problem was not site realated. I tried to then finish my listing on my pc. I continued to get error msgs or just got stuck in general. I went back to the app & was able to finish my listing there. Could my issue be due to a virus I may have gotten from Listia? I don't know a whole lot about viruses so I can't check for myself. If anyone can help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. If I find out this listing issue is due to a virus caused by this site I will immediatly refrain from using this Site in the future. The sooner the better. If I do have a virus issue can it be fixed? How?
