Listia.com is a website that sort of operates like Ebay.com.  People list stuff inn an auction like format that they want to give away. The poster agrees to ship the stuff to the auction winner for free in exchange for Listia credits. Listia credits can be earned by signing up for a bunch of special offers. The special offers are not free, usually. For example, I completed a special offer for 23000 credits. The offer was for Go Daddy. You had to purchase a domain name and website and spnd over $7.00 in order to get credits.  I spent $15.10 and purchased a domain name and website that I will never use.  I was planning on using the credits to get a prom dress worth over $300.00. Prom dresses on Listia.com were selling for an average of 6000 credits so I thought that there would be a good chance of me getting a great deal on a cool prom dress for my daughter. Guess what.., I completed the offer and neve got e credits. I contacted support and sent copies of my credit card online statement and copies of my Go Daddy reciept and a screen shot of my useless website as proof of completing the offer. However,I just got an email back saying that despite all y proof, they couldn't verify that I had completed the offer and so I would not be getting any credits. Their emailed response said this was a once in a million error and apologised.  So, I believed them an signed up for another special offer.  The second time I signed up for a book club for which I was supposed  to recieve 10000 Listia credits.  I spent about $20.00 and once again did not get any Listia credits. I contacted support with all my proof of completing the offer and got the same response.   My daughter really wanted the prom dress she saw on there, so she convinced me to try again....the third time I signed up for identity theft protection. I spent over $40.00.   I got 0 credits like before.   What a ripoff. Stay away.
